DESCRIPTION

Surflight Theatre a resident LOA/CORST theatre located 2 hours south of NYC on the Jersey Shore, is seeking a Technical Director for the Summer 2025 season. This position may continue through Early October and/or through December for the holiday production.

Surflight produces large musicals in a 3 week stock situation. Summer 2025 Season: Top Hat, 9 to 5, 42nd Street, West Side Story, Buddy the Buddy Holly Story, Fall/Holiday Season: Calendar Girls On Golden Pond, Elf.

Changeover is very fast and the ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a real "can do" attitude, strong carpentry, good to strong rigging and be comfortable in a fast, fun, musical environment. Opportunities for design if interested. Must also be interested and excited to be overseeing and guiding many young intern and early career staff and technicians.
