Synopsis: SuperHero, by Ian Eaton, is a new play about a young boy who fantasizes about having super powers. After a tragic event, Ian’s fantasies of being a “super” man are shattered when a neighborhood bully forces him to confront the kind of man he wants to become. SuperHero is a coming-of-age story that follows Ian’s experiences of navigating strict West Indian parents, girls, and Catholic school amidst the backdrop of 1980’s Manhattanville Projects in Harlem.
NOTE:All actors must portray the general spirit of grade school children, not be babies. This part of us emerges now and again. We ask that you tap into this younger version of yourself.
