Stagehand: Electrics Department

We are seeking stagehands with a focus in lighting to join the Artistic Programming Department. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, operating, and maintaining lighting elements for a variety of multi-disciplinary events and performances.

A successful electrics stagehand will be an flexible team member with a passion for supporting artistic needs, strong problem-solving skills, and experience in lighting programming and/or entertainment industry electrician work. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, prioritizes safety, and values hospitality in their work.

These positions are governed by Little Island’s collective bargaining agreement with IATSE Local One and report directly to the Production Manager.

What You’ll Do

· Collaborate closely with the Production Manager, Associate Production Manager, project-specific designers, and other Artistic Programming staff to ensure the successful execution of the technical requirements for a variety of events.

· Prepare, load-in, maintain, and load-out lighting equipment on our outdoor stages, both for the season and on a day-to-day basis.

· Troubleshoot electrics equipment as needed. · Work cross-departmentally on projects, including stage setup and general equipment maintenance.

· Adhere to Little Island’s safety protocols and actively contribute to maintaining a safe work environment.

· Participate in achieving Little Island’s artistic goals by providing consistent, high-quality production support to a wide range of events across three distinct performance venues in the park

· Perform other duties and tasks related to the park and its artistic programming operations as assigned.

SALARY

$32.50 – $40.00 per hour
