The Stage Supervisor works alongside the Technical Director and the Stage Management team in the planning for and execution of load ins, technical rehearsals, and run of show for presented and produced works. This position reports to the Technical Director and works closely with Stage Management and other production departments. Contract Dates: As soon as possible through June 30, 2023.

Key Responsibilities:
 Assist the Technical Director with overseeing stage operations and supervision of casual labor technicians during load in, run of show, and strike.
 Work together with Stage Management team on supervision of run crew.
 Collaborate with production departments, designers, and other parties as needed.
 Work with the Technical Director, Stage Management, and other department heads in the review and cost estimation of backstage needs including maintenance of run of show, inspections of units, and other show specific needs.
 Help to identify design problems relating to size, weight, staff availability and/or artistic objective, and participate in the development of creative solutions.
 In conjunction with Production Department Heads and Stage Management, source and purchase necessary run of show materials, hardware, tools, etc, and track expenses for run of show production budgets.  Ensure cleanliness and safety of backstage spaces.
 Participate in scenic and properties load ins / load overs and strikes.
 Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance and inspections of units during run of show.
 Attendance at a full run through, technical rehearsals, and performances are necessary. Attendance at rehearsals and production meetings as needed in conjunction with the Technical Director.
 During down time between shows or as needed, assist with build in the scene shop.  Night and weekend work hours are required.
 Adhere to and enforce safe working practices and follow all Two River Theater safety polices. Stay informed of health and safety issues regarding materials, equipment, and working environment.
 Contribute to the goal of creating a more equitable, diverse and inclusive organization by participating in various staff and organizational Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives. Perform all work in a manner that is consistent with Two River’s core values, including our commitment to EDI.

 3+ years of professional experience on a theatrical run crew, in a theatrical scenery shop, on a stage management team, or technical design role, experience in a similar position in another industry or equivalent experience through education.
 Knowledge of theatrical run of show protocols and scenery construction (lumber, steel, automation).
 Strong writing and oral communication skills.
 Ability to think critically and problem solve while keeping big picture goals and parameters in mind.
 Strong attention to detail.
 Ability to delegate and lead a team.  Candidates must be resourceful, flexible, organized, collaborative, and positive.
 Proof of COVID Vaccination and a valid driver’s license required.

Additional Skills:
 Knowledge of AutoCAD or Vectorworks basics, ability to draft a plus.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel.
 Strong skills in scenic carpentry and other disciplines such as rigging, mechanization, or soft goods.
 Understanding of OSHA general industry, OSHA construction industry, and other workplace safety standards.
 Able to climb ladders, use personnel lifts, and work in high places.  Ability to drive a large cargo van.

Compensation: Salary $1000 per week, overtime paid over 40 hours at $37.50 an hour. Benefits package includes company fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off (PTO). Temporary and/or shared housing available.
