DESCRIPTION

The Playwrights Realm, a not-for-profit Off-Broadway theater company devoted to supporting early-career playwrights along the journey of playwriting, is seeking a Stage Manager for an upcoming play development workshop as part of our Beyond the Realm Festival.

About Beyond The Realm

In the second edition of Beyond The Realm, we’re creating a radical space of experimentation to serve the needs of playwrights whose bold new works don’t fit in the traditional play development model by showcasing three very different pieces guided by unique perspectives of what can be done on a stage. This position is ideal for a Stage Manager who enjoys the challenge and nuance of working with a new play, and is energized by a process that aims to explore rather than perfect.

Project Dates

Week One: 9/30 - 10/4

Week Two: 10/7 - 10/12

The schedule includes 25-30 hours of rehearsal each week, 4 public presentations, and 3 days of pre-production.

The presentations are scheduled as follows:

7pm Thurs Oct 10th

7pm Fri Oct 11th

3pm & 7pm Sat Oct 12th

Compensation

Stage manager: $25.47 per rehearsal hour plus $145.51 per presentation
