HNYCMB PRODUCTIONS is seeking three non-union triple threats (film acting + musical theatre / pop singing + movement) for its upcoming 15-minute short film project.

𝘈𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 20𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭𝘴’ 𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘮—𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵.

PRODUCTION DATES:

• Saturday, December 13th (Rehearsing: Late morning to early-evening)
• Sunday, December14th (Filming: Late morning to early-evening)

TIMES: TWO full days (with breaks & meals) / Times TBD

LOCATION: NYC (On location in Midtown)

ROLES:

• 2 MEN (late 30s/early 40s - must be exceptional singers who can hold intricate harmonies and be open to exploring dramatic layers of bringing a scene & song to life)

• 1 WOMAN (late 30s/early 40s - non-singing role)

PREPARATION REQUIRED:

• Actors will receive script, music (demo, rehearsal tracks, sheet music) via Google Drive on December 1st.

• Song and script must be memorized before the 12/13 music, script, and movement rehearsal.

PLEASE SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING FOR CONSIDERATION

MEN ROLES:

• Resume

• Film & TV Reel (if possible)

• TWO contemporary dramatic monologues - one should show tinges of comedic moments

• TWO ballads (16 bar cuts). Must show subtle vocal pop vibe à la Peter Gabriel, James Blake, Sara Bareilles, Aimee Mann, Ben Folds, Chris Isaak. Songs should show rhythmic elements even with slow tempo.

NOTE: For song submissions, “think” an intimate pop ballad that creates a powerful performance by being subtle in delivery. We're looking for a film & tv vibe and NOT a musical theatre approach.

WOMAN ROLE:

• Resume

• Film & TV Reel (if possible)

• TWO contemporary dramatic monologues - one should show tinges of comedic moments

• NON-PAID / MEALS & a $25 travel stipend will be provided
• ACTORS WILL BE ABLE TO USE FILM FOR THEIR REELS
