This summer season, all of our interns will have the opportunity to get a behind the scenes to look at an established Off-Broadway theatre company in New York City by working closely with and learning from professional directors, actors, designers, voice coaches, wardrobe managers, and stage managers.
Seeking 2 Costume Interns (Sewing, Dressing & Wardrobe background required)
**All dates and times are subject to change.**
(Every other performance this 7-actor adaptation will alternate between William Shakespeare’s tragic ending and Nahum Tate’s 1681 “Hollywood” ending in which Lear lives!)
Central Park, Carl Schurz Park, The Battery, MetroTech Commons & Brooklyn Bridge Park
Rehearsal: May 4 – 31
Performance: June 2 – August 2
Load Out: August 3 – 6
NY Classical Theatre productions are produced under an AEA Contract. Interns will receive an unlimited MTA MetroCard during their time with us. Additionally, interns will be mentored by an Associate Artist and have the opportunity to attend 3-5 Master Classes in such areas as Directing, Casting, Producing, and Stage Management. This internship requires commitment for the full rehearsal and run of the production.* EMC points are available only for Stage Management Interns. All interns may earn college credit toward a degree program if granted permission from their respective institutions.
*We are flexible with schedules in May due to final exams.
