Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble 2026 Season Casting Notice
Location: Bloomsburg, PA (Rural Central Pennsylvania)
Contract Type: Non-Equity
Compensation: $400/week + housing + travel stipend (up to $150)
Submissions Due: Thursday, December 4th
Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble (BTE) is a resident ensemble located in rural Bloomsburg, PA, dedicated to bold, inclusive, and community-driven theatre. With a strong commitment to ensemble collaboration and educational outreach, BTE is currently casting for three productions in its 48th season. All roles require submission of a headshot, resume, and sides and/or songs, sent to the appropriate director listed below.

THE AMAZING MR. FRANKLIN!
Contract Dates: February 16th – May 8th, 2026
Touring Theatre in the Classroom Production
- Seeking 2 actors of any age, ethnicity, and gender
- Each actor will play multiple characters: big, goofy, animated performance style required
- 8-week tour travels to schools, libraries, and community centers regionally through PA and NJ
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs regularly
- Must pass background checks for working with children
- Additional per diem provided while touring, starting at $8/day

Mainstage Production
- Seeking female-identifying performers (20-30) of any ethnicity to play Amy March (doubles as John Brooke)
- Amy: ambitious, artistic, and charming; a journey from vanity to integrity
- John Brooke: Meg’s humble, generous husband

ELEPHANT & PIGGIE’S WE ARE IN A PLAY!
Contract Dates: Jun 8 – Aug 2, 2026
Mainstage Production
- Seeking male-identifying performers (20–35), all ethnicities to play Gerald the Elephant
- Voice: Baritone (F4 to Ab2)
- Gerald: goofy, anxious, heartfelt; strong comedic timing and movement skills a plus
- Local actors given preference, please stipulate in application e-mail
