SEEKING:

[ROMY WHITE] - POP/ROCK MEZZO WITH BELT. Female-identifying. As lazy as she is fashion forward, Romy is the acknowledged leader of the duo. She considers herself to be the idea person. (The smart one.) But underlying her bravado is a deep insecurity. Even though Romy and Michele refuse to follow the crowd, Romy still feels the need to be accepted.

[MICHELE WEINBERGER] - POP/ROCK SOPRANO WITH BELT. Female-identifying. Happy to take
Romy’s lead. The agreeable “me-too” girl, Michele only craves acceptance from Romy. Although she can seem like the slower of the two, she can still have insights and wisdom. Both of them secretly think of Michele as the cute one. Enthusiastic, with a flair for fashion.

[HEATHER MOONEY] – THIS ROLE IS CAST. ROCK ALTO WITH STRONG BELT. Female-identifying. Bitter, cynical chain smoker who got her heart broken in high school and has sworn off love; thinks she’s the smartest person in the room. Becomes a successful businesswoman by inventing Lady Fair cigarettes quick burning paper for the “gal on the go."

[SANDY FRINK] - HIGH ROCK TENOR. Male-identifying. Self-conscious, awkward science nerd with an unrequited crush on Michele. Later, he becomes a confident millionaire.

[TOBY WALTERS] - CHARACTER BARI-TENOR. Male-identifying. Relentlessly upbeat and cheerful. Really wants a friend and will do anything to be liked—even take on the thankless task of organizing the prom and then the reunion. But the one he especially wants to be friends with is Heather Mooney, for whom he feels a weird kinship. Over the course of the show, Toby begins to embrace his own identity, ultimately stepping into the joyful version of himself he was always meant to be.

[CHRISTIE MASTERS] - POP/ROCK SOPRANO. Female-identifying. The Queen of the School and
knows it. Passive-aggressive. Often delivers her put-downs with a smile. She’s a high-gloss tyrant who is used to everyone doing her bidding.
