The Connecticut Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) seeks a part-time Production Assistant/Runner to support our broad array of programming at the Shubert Theatre, ranging from Broadway Shows and Concerts to Board Meetings for our clients. The Assistant/Runner is a highly motivated individual responsible for various errands associated with the production and operations of various shows, reporting to the Operations Production and Facilities Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
Provides transportation for various personnel throughout the show day, such as hotel pickups and drop offs, using a personal vehicle.
Runs errands such as picking up and delivering department meals, groceries, package delivery, equipment rentals, coffee runs, etc.
Monitors parking reservations in front of the theatre to ensure tour buses and show trucks have easy access to the loading dock.
Assists production staff with general production-related duties.
Maintains cash and receipts for reimbursement and reconciliation.
Performs basic administrative duties such as making copies of printed materials, posting signs, and cash reconciliation.
Performs various special projects and tasks as assigned.

Credentials and Experience
21 years of age or older.
Valid driver's license with safe driving habits, a good driving record, and fully insured.
Large personal vehicle, SUV or mini-van preferred, but not mandatory
Thorough knowledge of the local area is preferred, but not mandatory.
Operational cell phone.
Ability to work a long day (typical show day runs about 16 to 18 hours).
