Part-Time Account Assistant
The Pekoe Group is an award-winning, fast-paced, full service advertising agency in NYC, working with the city's top Broadway shows, Off-Broadway shows, and restaurants.
We are seeking a Part-Time Account Assistant to join our team.
The Account Assistant has a detail-oriented and proactive focus on Media Planning, in support of two Account Managers and in collaboration with the Digital Media team. They assist in development, execution, and optimization of media campaigns and ensure smooth coordination between internal teams, media vendors, and clients.
Candidates should be capable of meticulously managing media plan budgets, ensuring every number and formula is accurate and every detail is accounted for. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with spreadsheets, digging into data, and has a passion for advertising and media strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Developing and maintaining media plans and media flowcharts for clients based on strategic direction from Vice President of Marketing Strategy and Account Managers (these are comprehensive advertising plans that include Digital, Direct Response, Print, Outdoor, Broadcast, Streaming, and Agency fees)
- Requesting and evaluating advertising proposals from media vendors
- Negotiating and managing bookings for media buys
- Verifying accuracy of media estimates, billing, and delivery against approved media plans
- Communicating advertising deadlines, specifications, and creative needs for media buys to Account Associates
- Tracking of booked media placements, including securing photos, screenshots, pre-logs, post-logs, and air checks, and adding performance updates to weekly client reports
- Scheduling media vendor meetings and taking meeting notes to ensure key insights and action items are captured
- Taking notes and circulating key takeaways from internal Media Strategy meetings
- Staying informed on evolving advertising trends, platforms, and best practices to enhance media planning strategies
- Working with the Digital Media team for day-to-day media plan updates
- Daily reporting to Account Managers to ensure that all media plans stay on strategy and on campaign
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Minimum 1 year experience in Advertising, Media, or Accounts support
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
- Strong Google Spreadsheets & Excel skills (including formulas and data validation)
- Ability to manage time to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly
- Someone who wants to be accountable and who values being responsible and responsive
SCHEDULE: 20-25 hours per week
COMPENSATION: $20/hour
