DESCRIPTION

Ogunquit Playhouse, Ogunquit, ME seeks overhire carpenters, electricians, and audio technicians to support changeover into production of MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING. Candidates should be from Tri-State or New England area.
MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING (Sat. 9/21 - Thurs. 9/26)
Calls for the beginning of changeovers, typically start as overnights (approx. 12 hour shifts) and midway through the week shift to shorter calls. Please let us know even if you only have partial availability for changeover(s).
TERMS
- Overhire positions are W2, $20/hr, with overtime after 40 hours
- Shared housing and/or transportation may be provided for those who are not local
- Meals are provided for changeovers
Expected duties include (but are not limited to):
- Overhire will support electrics, audio, and/or carpentry teams load-out of equipment and assets from previous production and load-in for the upcoming production. Depending on the skillset of the overhire and the needs of the departments, this may include supporting lighting hang + focus, install of set electrics, transport of scenic assets, cable bundling, speaker hang, setting up band equipment + Com etc.
- Must be comfortable working at heights and able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Job requires the ability to sit/stand for long periods of time, and bend, stoop, or kneel in execution of duties as assigned.
- Job requires the ability to lift, carry, move necessary equipment up and down stairs in varied lighting conditions.
- Unconventional hours may be required.
