The Operations Associate is responsible for the seamless coordination of the Operations, Facilities, and Labor Relations Departments (“Departments”). The ideal candidate is a highly dependable, trustworthy individual, with exceptional computing and organizational skills. Attention to detail and accuracy, leadership skills, strong time project management, and analytical abilities are also critical to meeting and exceeding expectations in this role. As this position assists multiple departments, confidentiality with the information of personnel is crucial.


Provide administrative support for Departments by filing, copying, scanning, and scheduling as required.

Order necessary items for Departments and Theatres from identified vendors, to include proper documentation of purchase and invoicing.

Work with VP, Operations, and Facilities Department to:

-Assist with maintaining a preventive maintenance program for building systems, as needed

-Update standard operating procedures (SOP) binders/servers as required and disseminate information

-Conduct regular, random check-ins at each property; reporting areas that require improvement to relevant Department

-Track and Analyze Expenses on a weekly basis and copy/distribute financial settlements

-Assist Receptionist and Office Assistants with maintenance of the Nederlander Offices

Work with Director, Labor Relations and Operations, and Operations Department to:

-Update and distribute Theatrical Employee Handbook and Company Policy/Manuals

-Facilitate CPR/AED trainings, and coordinate and monitor AED Management system

-Maintain staff database

-Maintain database of Wage Theft Forms in accordance with New York State requirements

Work with VP, Labor Relations, and Labor Department to:

-Analyze employee data related to CBAs, including staff O/T, Sick Time, Vacation, etc.

-Update and distribute New Hire packets

-Prepare and facilitate New Hire background checks

-Track Leaves of Absence

-Manage and distribute nametags for Front of House employees

These are the qualifications that are necessary for someone to be considered for the position:

-Minimum education level of BA or BS in Management, Data Analytics, or similar

-Minimum of one (1) year of direct experience in a support role within a professional environment

-Exceptional problem-solving skills required

-Strong interpersonal skills and comfort interfacing with Executives, house staff, and vendors

-Ability to learn quickly and to convey technical information to a non-technical audience

-Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and consistently follow high standards of business/professional ethics when dealing with others and while performing work duties

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; capable building complex formulas, a plus

-Superior math and accounting skills are preferred


The Nederlander office is centrally located at 1501 Broadway 14th floor. This position works in-office Monday through Friday, 10 am to 6 pm. Ability to work some evenings and weekends is required. This position will be required to work in an office environment as well as in numerous building locations throughout Manhattan, NY.


While performing the duties related to this job, the employee is regularly required to have visual acuity, talk and hear while communicating with supervisors, peers, and/or vendors. This position requires sitting, standing, bending, walking, and climbing ladders. The employee will be required to work in construction zones that may be unclean. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds.
