CHICAGO- NOW CASTING for a 2025 workshop and prospective 2026 World Premiere new play.

ROLES

OLD MAN: Embittered, hostile, age 60s or 70s.

DESTINY: An escort in her twenties/early thirties. She's smart, feisty, often acerbic and has a chip on her shoulder. Her hair is an outrageous color - purple, bright red or blue. Or has streaks of purple, blue or bright red.

BART: Lacks social graces, possibly because he's a pimp.

LOGISTICS

Workshop

Where: Elgin, IL
When: Est. Aug/Sep 2025 (3-4 week rehearsal process; 1 week run)
Rehearsals: 7-10 pm (M-F); 11 am – 4 pm (Sat)
Performances: 7:30 (T-Sun); 2 pm (Sat-Sun)
Comp: $500 per week

Full Scaled Production
Where: Chicago, IL
When: Est. Sep/Oct 2026 (5-week rehearsal process; 5-week run)
Comp: $1500 per week (Principals);
$1,000 per week + $100 per on performance (Principal Understudies);
$800 per week (Supporting Characters);
$600 + $100 per on performance (Supporting Characters Understudies).

Compensation reflects all-in compensation. If an AEA member, the weekly base will be reduced by any AEA-required incremental contributions.

Applicants must be prepared to arrange their own local accommodations.
