DESCRIPTION

Joey Parnes Productions, a Broadway producing and general management office, is seeking a full-time management assistant to support the day-to-day operations of the producing and management teams of the upcoming Broadway musical KPOP and several other Broadway-bound projects in development.

Responsibilities: This role is essential to the daily operation of our office and our team. Responsibilities will include managing the office calendar, scheduling meetings, answering phones, rolling ­­calls, running errands, disseminating information, handling messages and call lists, organizing general office management and other projects assigned by the producers and general managers in relation to the productions at hand. Additional tasks may include but are not limited to: preparing contracts, assisting with developmental readings and work sessions, facilitating merchandise and company gifts, booking rehearsal studio space, overseeing Tony campaigns, managing house seat requests, and participating in the planning and execution of opening night and company parties. We expect the role will grow along with any motivated candidate’s interests.

Qualifications: The right candidate will demonstrate excellent time management, the ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize efficiently and calmly, creative thinking and problem-solving, and an attention to detail. We are looking for someone with exemplary communication/phone skills who will represent the office with confidence and handle sensitive and confidential information with care. Must be able to navigate a fast-paced office environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for theater and an interest in learning more about the producing and management of Broadway shows.

Experience working or interning in an entertainment or theatrical office is a plus, but not required. A successful candidate will be eager to learn and people-oriented, with patience, a sense of humor, a collaborative, can-do attitude and the ability to work under pressure.

This position is FULL-TIME and in-person (not remote). Our office is based in midtown Manhattan.
