DESCRIPTION

Description

Middle Sibling Productions is looking for two theatre artists to lead our bimonthly Play Club and Playwriting Salon.

Middle Sibling Productions believes theatre is an essential right to everyone. In order to provide as many opportunities for our community to participate, we are branching out our programming to build up our current Play Club and roll out our Playwriting Salon.

The Play Club is our version of a book club that only discusses plays. At each meeting we discuss a different play across all of theatre. Recent plays discussed are Angels in America, Blithe Spirit, and Torch Song Trilogy. Our Play Club allows us to showcase plays that may not fit in our Meetup Readings series, but still deserve to be read and discussed.

The Playwriting Salon gives playwrights at all skill levels a chance to present scenes from their works in progress. At each meeting all members can submit an up to 10 minute scene to present and cast other members. Immediately afterwards our members will provide feedback to the playwright. We believe this gives everyone a chance to learn by doing and get direct, supportive feedback.

Our Play Club currently meets every other Sunday at 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM and our Playwriting Salon is planned to meet every other Saturday at 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM both at 590 Madison, but times and locations are flexible.
