Rate of Pay: $900/week minimum, plus applicable extras – MD / AMD Negotiable
Benefits: MEC Health Coverage offered
Transportation/Housing/Per Diem: Provided with first move to Waterbury, CT – Producer
provided housing single or double with sliding per diem at musician discretion.
Location: Various across 31 weeks
We are seeking musicians with unique, vibrant skills. Musicians of diverse cultural and racial
backgrounds are encouraged to apply. We are seeking the following chairs:

Piano/Accordion/MD: Swing/pop/groove piano. Jazz background a major plus. Piano-accordion
basics including left hand. Confident conducting, MD/leadership skills. Seeking a vibrant stage
performer. Track is onstage, in costume. Book includes multiple moments of featured
improvisation.

Violin: Comfort with pop/jazz playing in the pocket with a rhythm section. Pop rhythm
sensibility is a must. Some comfort with improvising. Strong intonation in mixed sections (violin,
cello, trombone). A vibrant stage performer with a soloist presence. Track is onstage, in
costume.

Cello: Comfort with pop/jazz playing in the pocket with a rhythm section. Pop rhythm sensibility
is a must. Some comfort with improvising. Strong intonation in mixed sections (violin, cello,
trombone). A vibrant stage performer with a soloist presence. Track is onstage, in costume.

Trombone/Glockenspiel: Jazz background a must but also must play in section with strings (in
tune long tones). Must be able to step out for raucous solos and step back for sensitive section
playing. Trad jazz, brass band experience a plus. Stage presence is key. Trombone is a
centerpiece in this show. Seeking a vibrant stage performer. Track is onstage, in
costume. Trombone book doubles on glockenspiel, so basic piano knowledge is key.
Drums: Jazz/pop background a must. Experience with playing an expanded kit that includes
other percussion (shakers, surdo, etc). Not a traditional musical theater drum book. Must be a
confident improvisor and a sensitive player for folky styles.

Bass: Jazz/pop background a must. Book is for upright bass only. Must be comfortable with
occasional arco playing. Seeking a vibrant stage performer. Track is onstage, in costume.

Guitar: Steel string acoustic, primarily fingerpicking. Must be experienced player of
Americana/jazz/swing/blues/Travis-picking. Book includes unique aspects of prepared guitar
(wire and foam mutes) as well as improvisation. Basic reading is a major plus. A featured role
for a confident player. Track is onstage, in costume.
