321 Theatrical Management is an administrative, General Management office that oversees producing, managing, and maintaining Broadway shows and National Tours. Current and past productions include WICKED; Death Becomes Her, The Outsiders, Gutenberg! The Musical!, Kimberly Akimbo, Topdog/Underdog, A Strange Loop, Is This A Room; Dana H; What the Constitution Means to Me; SpongeBob SquarePants; War Paint; Fun Home; Oh, Hello on Broadway; If/Then; Fully Committed; Peter and the Starcatcher; Bring It On: The Musical; Sister Act; Traces; Next To Normal; The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee; The Vagina Monologues; Man of La Mancha; The Graduate; I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change and Bat Boy: The Musical. Upcoming Spring of 2025: Purpose on Broadway.
The 321 Theatrical Management internship program offers an intensive look at commercial theatrical management including seminars led by 321 staff members in areas such as finance, contracts, budgeting, investment, and company management. The ideal intern will thrive in an office setting rather than in the rehearsal studio, and should have an interest in general management, company management, arts administration, or producing. Candidates should be prepared to contribute to the heavy administrative needs that a general management office requires, and have the ability to adapt quickly in an ever-changing environment.
Basic Responsibilities:
· Handling mail, filing, copying, scanning, running errands, covering reception desk as substitute
· Computer assignments, conducting research, contributing to various reports
·Preparation of payroll distribution for our shows, assisting our finance department in preparing for audits
·Additional unique projects, working directly with company managers and general managers, are assigned as needed.
Necessary skills:
· Ability to multi-task
· Must be computer literate and have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
· Self-motivated, responsible, organized, and detail-oriented
· Previous office experience is preferred.
Internship Specializations - Each of our General Management interns will be assigned a specialization area. Please indicate in your application which specialization(s) you would like to be considered for:

Dates:
The Winter/Spring semester internship will run from Monday, January 13, 2025, through Friday, June 6, 2025. Please confirm that you will be available to work in our NYC office, during the entire internship time frame and list any preexisting conflicts.
Office Hours:
Monday through Friday, 10am – 6pm.
Compensation:
Each intern will be paid hourly at NYC minimum wage ($16.50 per hour as of 2025).
College Credit:
If you are a student seeking to fulfill a course requirement/credit through this internship, 321 Theatrical Management will be happy to fill out any necessary paperwork.
Perks:
Interns are able to shadow company managers for our productions in New York, as well as observe other aspects of the business including advertising and marketing meetings. Interns are offered several seminars per semester, led by 321 staff members in their various areas of expertise. In addition, interns receive complimentary ticket offers to shows when available.
