DESCRIPTION

Casting two actors over 45 years of age for Egeon and The Abbess for a site-specific production of The Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare.

The Comedy of Errors is a hilarious and fast-paced comedy about finding fulfillment, family, and salvation in a brutally commercial world. Chaos abounds when two sets of twins run amok in the marketplace of Ephesus, until their family is reunited in a miracle beyond all hope.

Stairwell Theater will be performing the piece in the majestic and industrial Picnic House on Pier 40, part of the Hudson River Park in Manhattan. The production will be set in modern New York City's financial district. Rehearsals will be held 3-4 nights a week throughout March - April, with tech April 23rd - 31st, and shows May 1st - 11th. These roles appear in the first and last scenes of the play, and the performer may not be called every week.
