Theatre Aspen is in immediate need of an Education Coordinator who is equally adept at managing a class of students and managing administrative tasks and communications. The ideal EC speaks English and Spanish, and has experience both as a teacher and in the rehearsal room.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Act as “registrar” for our programs
-Teach after-school and summer programs
-Serve in creative or production role for departmental productions, 3-4x annually
-Provide program support and communications
-Assist with playbill creation
-Assist in the administration of resources and classroom supplies
-Representing Theatre Aspen at community outreach events
-Promotion of education events on social media
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
-A Bachelor’s degree, equivalent professional experience, or both
-Classroom experience with K-12th grade students
-Production experience in one or more area strongly preferred: stage management, choreography, music directing, and/or design
-Strong writing, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
-Preference will be given to candidates bilingual in Spanish
