St. Ann’s Warehouse, an award-winning presenter of international and American avant-garde theater and music, seeks a full-time, friendly, and highly motivated individual who works well in a creative milieu. The Director of Marketing is a key senior staff member who works closely with Programming and Development to promote and advance St. Ann’s identity and mission, tailoring existing audiences and building new ones for its local, regional, and international programming. The Director of Marketing coordinates outside contractors, including graphic designers, videographers, social media, and PR consultants on all marketing strategies and campaigns. The director collaborates with the team in pursuit of media coverage, corporate sponsorships, individual memberships, and donor programs. This person is a visionary with strong communication, copywriting and editing skills, and robust digital and print experience.


Responsibilities include:

      Designing, managing, and executing campaigns for all programming and ongoing institutional marketing to reach earned income goals;

      working with Artistic Director and graphic designers on copy and design for print and digital promotions;

      managing, distributing, and placing digital/print ads and promotional materials;

      overseeing fabrication and installation of onsite banners and signage;

      working with vendors, outside contractors, and community, artistic partners;

      facilitating communications with marketing and PR teams of partner organizations;

      Working with General Management and Development staff on cultivating corporate sponsorships and innovative cross-promotion opportunities;

      Setting ticket prices and implementing dynamic pricing throughout the run of a show;     

      Establishing policies that promote equity and serve audiences through student discounts, group sales, rush tickets, and third party ticketing services;

      Creating and tracking marketing budgets and schedules;

      Overseeing, managing, and updating the organization’s website;

      Analyzing and reporting past and present sales figures, statistics, and patterns, reporting such analyses to the Development team and at Board meetings;



Qualifications include:

      4-5 years training and experience in Marketing and related work;

      Ability to collaborate and manage multiple projects simultaneously and to meet deadlines;

      Excellent organizational, administrative, and computer skills;

      Strong oral and written communications skills, including experience in producing publications and copy editing;

      A good sense of humor;

      Experience and track record of selling tickets;

      Graphic design experience a plus;

      Knowledge of New York and national arts and cultural community;

      Ability to work independently and as part of both an artistic and institutional team;

      Knowledge of Google Suite, MS Word, and Excel required, knowledge of SpekTrix ticketing system;

      Background in Adobe Suite preferred
