RCI Theatricals, an NYC-based theatrical general management company, is seeking a Director of Finance to join its team managing multiple Broadway, Off-Broadway, national touring, special projects, and developmental productions.

Reporting to the Partners of RCI Theatricals, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
• Proficiency in preparing cash positions, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
• Experience working with external accounting, audit, and tax accounting firms.
• A desire to support a busy office by managing complex financial accounting and bookkeeping across multiple entities.
• The skills to navigate the financial aspects of Broadway unions, contracts, and investors.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (web and desktop versions a plus), Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel), and Google Suite.
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills and decorum.
• Ability to problem solve, self-start, and maintain a calm and positive demeanor under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• A sense of humor and ability to find the fun in work.
• While not a requirement, individuals who are Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) are highly encouraged to apply.
• An interest in Commercial Theatre or Arts Administration is a plus.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Working closely and collaborating with General Management and Company Management teams with ongoing bookkeeping and accounting needs for all actively running shows, developmental projects, and closed entities.
• Manage weekly accounting, budgets, and cash flows for all entities.
• Paying all bills, bookkeeping, accounting, and tax preparation for all RCI entities.
• Managing RCI payroll, insurance, and benefits including onboarding and offboarding of all employees.
• Preparing RCI monthly billing invoices and expense reimbursement invoices for all entities.
• Maintaining QuickBooks users and permissions for all entities.
• Scanning bank deposits and managing bank reconciliations for all entities.
• Applying for EIN and NYS Employment Reference numbers for all entities.
• Managing federal and state tax accounts.
• Registering for tax withholdings in all states for national touring productions as well as registering and paying all foreign withholding taxes for all entities.
• Managing all audit requests (GAAP, IRS, UI, tax credits) and assisting with Workers' Compensation audits as needed.
• Reviewing all quarterly tax returns for all entities.
• Coordinating W-2, 1099 and K-1 distributions for all entities.
• Managing online banking for all users across multiple banking institutions.
• Managing tax credit process for all states including submitting initial and final applications as well as facilitating audit with external tax accounting firm.
• Calculating profit distributions and submitting quarterly reports for all entities.
• Reviewing LLC operating agreements and subscription documents drafts in conjunction with production counsel.
• Completing federal census surveys for all entities.
• Tracking subsidiary rights and licensing income for all entities.
Compensation: $130,000-$160,000 Annually

Hours: In-office hours are Monday through Friday, 10 AM - 6 PM. Additional evening or weekend commitments may arise and will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.

SALARY
$130,000.00 – $160,000.00
per year
