DESCRIPTION

Gallery Players in Park Slope is seeking two child actors for its upcoming non-equity production of the musical Kinky Boots. Book by Harvey Fierstein. Music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper. Director, Ryan Hendricks. Producer, Dominic Cuskern.

SEEKING:

YOUNG CHARLIE, a boy around 8 years of age

YOUNG LOLA/SIMON: Seeking and African-American boy for this role who should be around 10 years old.

Rehearsals start October 1st and will be in the evening during the week and in the daytime on weekends. The show runs from November 9-24th for a total of 13 performances.

There is a one-time stipend of $100.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Please email a tape of you singing something and a monologue to: [email protected]. Submissions must be received no later than 11.59PM on Tuesday, Septeember 24th.

IMPORTANT: If you don't have anything on tape but are interested in being in the show, please email us indicating your interest in being considered.

Rehearsals will be minimal and we will be careful to get the children home early.
