Doubt That the Stars Are Fire is a dramatic queer love story that explores the intersectionality of faith, religion, and sexuality and questions the powers to which we hold ourselves accountable.
Seeking non-Union actors for roles in the developmental production of Preston Fox’s Doubt That the Stars Are Fire in partnership with The Center (The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center).
Please submit a headshot and resume to the email below by December 8th @ 8:00 PM EST. In the subject line, please include: "DTTSAF SUBMISSION" and the role(s) you would like to be considered for. Please include a reel or a video of a contemporary monologue, if possible. Auditions will be held in-person (location TBD) Saturday, December 11th between the hours of 10 AM and 7:00 PM EST.

Niobe: 20s, BIPOC, female-identifying. The Speaker of the Court and Hyacinth’s childhood best friend. A focused, determined, and passionate woman with a heart for social justice.
Lukas: 20s, queer, BIPOC, male-identifying. A mysteriously charming priest. He is kind and sweet, but a darker, deeper power lurks just beneath the surface. Must be proficient with guitar and/or ukulele & must be comfortable singing. Must be comfortable with queer intimacy on stage. NOTE: If you are submitting for the role of Lukas, please include a short video of you singing and playing either the guitar or ukulele. Do not worry about the quality of the video, we just need to be able to hear you.
Woman: 30s+, any ethnicity, female-identifying. A powerful and commanding being. She will stop at nothing to protect her power and push her plans to fruition, no matter the cost.
Hyacinth: 20s, queer, any ethnicity, male-identifying. The prince and heir to the throne. A beautiful, amiable young man with a quiet confidence, torn between two worlds. Must be comfortable singing. Must be comfortable with queer intimacy on stage. (CAST)
