DESCRIPTION

Narrows Community Theater is seeking performers for its upcoming production of Brigadoon by Lerner & Loewe. Auditions are open to NYC-area performers of all backgrounds. At this time, the production is prioritizing casting for roles traditionally written for tenor and baritone vocal ranges, while continuing to welcome exceptional talent for all roles.

PRINCIPAL & FEATURED ROLES

TOMMY ALBRIGHT (Lead)
Tenor (B2–A4)
Romantic leading man. Strong legit voice, confident actor, comfortable with movement.

JEFF DOUGLAS (Lead)
Baritone (G2–F4)
Charming, comedic supporting lead. Strong vocal storytelling and stage presence.

HARRY BEATON (Featured)
Tenor/High Baritone (C3–G4)
Character-driven role. Strong actor with expressive singing.

CHARLIE DALRYMPLE (Featured)
Baritone (G2–E4)
Villainous energy. Strong acting skills and vocal control.

FIONA (Lead)
Soprano (C4–A5)
Strong legit singer. Warm stage presence and ensemble leadership.

MEG BROCKIE (Lead)
Mezzo-Soprano (A3–F5)
Comic character role. Strong acting instincts and movement ability preferred.


ENSEMBLE

Seeking strong singers and movers for featured ensemble. Ensemble members will be heavily utilized throughout the production and should be comfortable with choreography and group storytelling.

• Strong singers with musical theatre technique
• Performers comfortable with movement and choreography
• Collaborative artists committed to rehearsal process and ensemble work


PRODUCTION DETAILS

Location: Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY
Rehearsals: Evenings and weekends (schedule provided upon casting)
Performances: April 24-26, May 1-3

WHAT TO PREPARE

32 bars of a traditional musical theatre song or pop song in the style of the show and have a contrasting 32 bars prepared as well if asked for it. Sides will be provided at the audition for a cold read.
