Michael Merritt, ER Nurse on the front lines at New York City Health & Hospitals/Bellevue is also a playwright and producer. His love of Broadway and the outpouring of love to the front line workers, during this global pandemic of COVID-19 along with the silent Great White Way, inspired Michael to create Brave Hearts For Broadway to raise money for everyone who works on Broadway, not just the performers, but the cleaning staff too. 

 

The team is made up of award winning director, Tricia Brouk, choreography by Broadway veteran Kathryn Mowat Murphy , veteran video editors Jeff and Molly Brown, along with stellar composer/lyricists Andrew David Sotomayor, Elisa Nicolas, Matt Cusson and Terron Brooks.  

 

We are looking for front line and/or essential workers who want to audition to be in The FrontLine Choir filmed virtually and cut together for a night of entertaining inspiration.  Choir members must learn 3 original songs.  We'll be raising money for wonderful organizations like Actors Fund and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

 

Auditions end July 10, 2020.   Casting announced July 13, 2020.    

 

Project may extend monthly after virtual show.
