DESCRIPTION

Interested applicants should have a positive attitude, an attention to detail, are self-motivated, punctual, and must be good at interacting with the public on behalf of the Theater in a friendly manner. Porter duties include: - Maintaining cleanliness of theater through sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, replenishing supplies, cleaning carpets, taking care of trash, cleaning the bathrooms and all surface areas - Preparing the house for the show each night - Opening the theatre for the day and closing the theatre for the evening - Being present during shows, monitoring lobby/house areas and assisting as problems arise - Directing patrons and answering any and all patron questions - Closing up the theater after evening performances and other duties as assigned. Candidate must be willing and able to work a schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends. Compensation for this position is $23.00 per hour, and benefits are managed by the Local 32BJ union plan.
