DESCRIPTION

Assistant Props Supervisor

Ogunquit Playhouse, Ogunquit, Maine seeks an experienced Assistant Props Supervisor for our 2022 Season and Arts Academy productions. Approximate dates of employment vary per position between April 4 and October 9, 2022.

Ideal Candidate: Must be detail-oriented and remain focused in a fast paced working environment.

Job Duties/Expectations include (but are not limited to):

-Must have experience in prop shopping and acquiring items for a wide variety of theatrical styles and periods for each production

-Possess a strong knowledge of construction techniques and high-level artisan skills, including painting

-Theatrical Carpentry Skills a must

-Experience with theatrical paint techniques, and textures

-Assist load-in/strike as necessary

-Ideal candidate would have a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle

-Assist with Arts Academy Productions as needed

-May be required to support Props Supervisor NYC rehearsal Load-In’s by driving a Van or 16’ truck to load in/out if necessary

-Unconventional hours may be required

$15-17/hr plus O/T and housing included.

Props Artisan

Ogunquit Playhouse, Ogunquit, Maine seeks an experienced Prop Artisan for our 2022 Season and Arts Academy productions. Approximate dates of employment between April 25 and August 28, 2022.

Ideal Candidate: Must be detail-oriented and remain focused in a fast paced working environment.

Job Duties/Expectations include (but are not limited to):

-Must have experience in prop shopping and acquiring items for a wide variety of theatrical styles and periods for each production

-Possess strong knowledge of construction techniques and high-level artisan skills, including painting, sculpting, and molds

-Theatrical Carpentry Skills a must

-Ability to read design drawings and build from them a must

-Assist load-in/strike as necessary

-Ideal candidate would have a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle

-Sewing skills preferred

-Upholstery Skills preferred, but not required

-Welding skills a plus

-Must be a self-starter, and able to work in a fast pace environment

-Assist with Arts Academy Productions

-Unconventional hours may be required

$15-17/hr plus O/T after 40 hours and housing included.
