The Broadway League presented Michael David, Lauren Reid, and Michael David with their 2024 Leadership Awards December 10 at the group's annual meeting. Reid was named Member of the Year, while Stone was honored for Distinguished Service and David received a Lifetime Achievement honor.

“Lauren Reid, David Stone, and Michael David exemplify the very best of the Broadway League community," says newly named League President Jason Laks in a statement. "We honor their leadership and service to our industry and thank them for dedicating their time to bringing live theatre to audiences in New York and across the country. As a membership organization, The Broadway League is only as strong as its members, and these three truly represent us at our finest.”

The honorees were chosen by a Selection Committee comprising members across all of the League's membership categories. Reid's honor was presented by John Gore Organization Vice Chairman Miles Wilkin, Stone's by Nederlander Producing Company Chief Operating Officer Nick Scandalios, and David's by former Jujamcyn Theaters President Rocco Landesman.

The Broadway League—which counts Broadway producers, theatre owners, and national tour presenters among its membership—primarily exists to facilitate collective bargaining on standard contracts with the various unions representing professional theatre workers, and also operates a number of programs aimed at audience development on Broadway and beyond. The League also presents the annual Tony Awards with the American Theatre Wing, and the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (also known as The Jimmys).
