Sondheim Unplugged, the cabaret-concert series created by Phil Geoffrey Bond that spotlights the work of Tony-winning composer-lyricist Stephen Sondheim, will continue Oct. 20 at 54 Below.



MAC Award winner Bond serves as the director of original programming at 54 Below and also hosts the acclaimed series that ran for several years at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

The 7 PM concert will feature special guests Marni Nixon, Sarah Rice, Eric Michael Gillett and Melanie Vaughan as well as Christina Bianco, Stephanie D'Abruzzo, Marilyn Maye, Vivian Reed and Lucia Spina.

Joe Goodrich is musical director.

Sondheim Unplugged earned a 2011 Bistro Award for Outstanding Cabaret Series and was nominated for a 2011 MAC Award.
