North Carolina Theatre will present Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats Oct. 8-13 at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium in the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh.

Kenneth Prymus, who played the role of Old Deuteronomy for over seven years on Broadway, will return to that part for the upcoming staging. He will be joined by Thay Floyd as Rum Tum Tugger, Jennifer Shrader as Grizabella, Kinsland Howell as Demeter, Dirk Lumbard as Bustopher Jones/Asparagus/Growltiger and Kathleen Lynch as Jellylorum.

Richard Stafford directs and choreographs.

Based on T.S. Eliot's "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats" and featuring music by Lloyd Webber, Cats won seven 1983 Tony Awards including Best Musical. The international hit "tells the story of the Jellicles, a tribe of cats who assemble for their annual junkyard ball where they announce the cat that will be reborn."
