Cheyenne Jackson Will Perform Broadway Classics at Carnegie Hall in November
By Adam Hetrick
Cheyenne Jackson will join the New York City Chamber Orchestra and the Manhattan Chorale for an evening of songs from Broadway musicals Nov. 29 at Carnegie Hall.
Presented by Manhattan Concert Productions, which staged a starry concert production of Ragtime at Avery Fisher Hall last winter, the 8 PM evening promises Jackson and an star-studded cast to be announced.
The New York City Chamber Orchestra will offer overtures from the musical theatre canon, with Jackson delivering stand-out solos from Broadway and choral work from the Manhattan Chorale.
Manhattan Concert Productions will also return to Avery Fisher Hall in February 2014 with a concert staging Maury Yeston's Tony Award-winning musical Titanic.
Jackson's Broadway credits include The Performers, Finian's Rainbow, Xanadu, All Shook Up, Aida and Thoroughly Modern Millie. He will star in the upcoming Encores! production of The Most Happy Fella. His screen appearances include "30 Rock," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "Glee," "Behind the Candelabra," "United 93," "Lucky Stiff" and "Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks." His solo album "I'm Blue, Skies," is now available.
