Anything Goes Will Tap Its Way to Toronto, Replacing Honeymoon in Vegas
By Kenneth Jones
A visit by the national tour of the Tony Award-winning Anything Goes will be part of the Mirvish subscription season in Toronto in 2012-13, replacing the canceled booking of the pre-Broadway musical Honeymoon in Vegas. The fizzy Cole Porter musical, directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall and starring Rachel York as Reno Sweeney, will run July 16-Aug. 18. Performances will play a Mirvish venue to be announced. Read the earlier Playbill.com story about the Anything Goes tour. The season, as previously reported, also includes Backbeat, Sister Act, La Cage aux Folles, The Wizard of Oz and The Book of Mormon. Visit anythinggoesthemusical.com. |
