Michelle Ryan Announced to Play Sally Bowles in West End Return for Cabaret

Michelle Ryan, best known for playing Zoe Slater in "EastEnders" for five years and the title role in the re-make of "The Bionic Woman," is to make her West End stage debut as Sally Bowles in the return of Rufus Norris' production of Kander and Ebb's Cabaret at the Savoy Theatre, beginning performances Oct. 3.
She joins the previously announced Will Young as Emcee in the production, which will embark on a four-week U.K. tour prior to its arrival in the West End, beginning performances at Southampton's Mayflower Theatre Sept. 3 before visiting Nottingham, Norwich and Salford Quays.
Ryan's other TV roles include "Mansfield Park" alongside Billy Piper, "Jekyll" opposite James Nesbitt, as well as starring roles in "Miss Marple," "Merlin" and "Doctor Who." Film credits include "Cleanskin" alongside Sean Bean and Abhin Galeya, "Huge"directed by comedian Ben Miller and the forthcoming film "The Man Inside," written and directed by Dan Turner.
