"La Bare," the film that takes an insider's look at the history, lives and culture of the popular male strip club La Bare Dallas — and is directed by Joe Manganiello — will be released by Main Street Films June 27, according to Deadline.com.
Manganiello ("Magic Mike," A Streetcar Named Desire at Yale Rep) also produced the documentary with his brother Nick Manganiello through their 3:59 Inc. company.
Movie Package Company's Raymond Mansfield and Shaun Redick are executive producers on the film.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
