Tony nominee John Tillinger will direct Alan Ayckbourn's romantic comedy Things We Do For Love at the Westport Country Playhouse opening Aug. 19.

The cast includes Geneva Carr (Hand to God), Matthew Greer (Cabaret, Seminar, The Real Thing), Sarah Manton (One Man Two Guvnors) and Michael Mastro (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Mamma Mia).

The production opens Aug. 19 and runs through Sept. 7. According to press notes, "In Things We Do for Love, fastidious Barbara’s orderly, but solitary world is thrown into chaos when the arrival of her longtime friend Nikki and her fiancé ignites unexpected and violent passions. Replete with trademark Ayckbourn touches, this wickedly funny play will have the audience questioning just how sane anyone really is when it comes to love."

Director Tillinger is a veteran to staging Ayckbourn's works - having staged several on Broadway and at Wesport - including How the Other Half Loves and Relatively Speaking at the playhouse and Absurd Person Singular on The Great White Way.

The design team includes James Noone as scenic designer, Laurie Churba as costume designer, Paul Miller as lighting designer and Scott Killian as sound designer.

Tickets begin at $30. To purchase and for more information visit westportplayhouse.org.
