Blue Man Group, the anonymous blue-skinned trio whose Off-Broadway production Tubes is still running in downtown New York City, have proved a viable musical talent. The group has announced a summer tour promoting their upcoming album "The Complex."

Their album, "The Complex," is set to be released April 22. Blue Man Group founders Matt Goldman, Phil Stanton and Chris Wink are featured on the album performing collaborations with Dave Matthews, Tracy Bonham, Dan the Automator, Esthero and Josh Haden among others. The album will also include their tribute to the events of Sept. 11, 2001, "Exhibit 13."

"The Complex" Tour will kick off with Blue Man Group's performance at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in California, April 26-27. The tour will then visit Washington, D.C.'s Warner Theatre (May 18), New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom (May 19), Chicago's Congress Theatre ( May 21), Minneapolis' Target Center (May 22), Denver's Pepsi Center (May 25), San Francisco's Warfield Theatre (May 29), Seattle's Paramount Theater (June 1) and Portland's Keller Auditorium (June 2). A second leg will be announced shortly.

The group, featured in the 2001 Grammy Awards performance of artist Moby's "Natural Blues," also joined Moby with David Bowie, Busta Rhymes and other bands for last year's "Area: 2" summer tour. Following the Gold success of their debut Grammy-nominated album "Audio," they signed a recording contract with Lava Records. The trio, who had become familiar to television audiences in commercials for Pentium, now appear in a music video for their song "Sing Along" with guest singer Dave Matthews in regular rotation on VH1. (The video is also viewable on their website at www.blueman.com.)

Blue Man Group: Tubes plays at the Astor Place Theatre, 434 Lafayette St.. Tickets are available through (212) 307-4100.
