Three-time Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters will be among the performers at the 2014 Olivier Awards, which will also feature an appearance by ABBA's Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus.
Peters (Gypsy, Into the Woods, Sunday in the Park with George, Annie Get Your Gun, A Little Night Music) will be backed by the BBC Concert Orchestra during the Oliver Awards ceremony, which will take place at the Royal Opera House April 13.
To celebrate 15 years of Mamma Mia!, Andersson and Ulvaeus will reunite with the current London cast of that hit musical as part of the evening's grand finale.
The evening will also feature a performance by tenor Joseph Calleja, who currently appears in the Royal Opera’s production of Gounod's Faust. He will perform "E lucevan le stelle" from Puccini's Tosca.
West End stage and screen stars Gemma Arterton and Stephen Mangan will co-host the Olivier Awards, which will include performances from the Best New Musical nominees, including The Book Of Mormon, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Once and The Scottsboro Boys, in addition to performances from all the BBC Radio 2 Audience Awards nominees – Les Misérables, Matilda The Musical, The Phantom Of The Opera and Wicked.
