Mamma Mia! creator and global producer Judy Craymer will be honored with a Sardi's portrait Nov. 8 at the famed Sardi’s Restaurant in the midtown theatre district.
The long-running, international hit musical, which played its final performance at the Winter Garden Theatre Oct. 19, reopened Nov. 2 at its new home, the Broadhurst Theatre. Now celebrating 13 years on Broadway, Mamma Mia! is the tenth longest-running show in Broadway history.
Mamma Mia! has been seen by over 50 million people worldwide and has grossed more than $2 billion at the box office.
With music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, Mamma Mia! is written by Catherine Johnson and directed by Phyllida Lloyd. The production has choreography by Anthony Van Laast, production design by Mark Thompson, lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Andrew Bruce and Bobby Aitken, and musical supervision, additional material and arrangements by Martin Koch.
Show times at the Broadhurst are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 PM and Sunday at 7 PM with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2 PM.
