Grammy and Emmy winner John McDaniel will make his New York City directorial debut with Come Fly with Me, which will be presented Nov. 21 at 9:30 PM at 54 Below.
The evening, which is a centenary celebration of the lyrics of Sammy Cahn and the music of Jimmy Van Heusen, was conceived and directed by McDaniel during his first season as artistic director of the O’Neill Theater Center’s Cabaret and Performance Conference.
The New York staging will star the original O’Neill Theater Center cast: Jeff Harnar, Linda Hart, Nicolas King and Jennifer Sheehan.
Come Fly with Me will also feature music direction by Tedd Firth, with Tom Hubbard on bass. The music arrangements were created by Firth and McDaniel.
