Old Jews Telling Jokes, the evening of comedy co-created by Peter Gethers and Daniel Okrent that opened in May 2012, ends its run Sept. 15 at Off-Broadway's Westside Theatre.

The production began previews May 1, 2012, and officially opened May 20. The production played 22 previews and 552 regular performances. Marc Bruni (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) directed the production.

A previously announced Chicago production will begin performances at the Royal George Theatre Sept. 24 and open Oct. 2.

The Off-Broadway cast features Dara Cameron, Chuck Rea, Marilyn Sokol, Todd Susman and Steve Vinovich.

The production, according to press notes, "showcases five actors in a revue that pays tribute to and reinvents classic jokes of the past and present. Think you’ve heard them all before? Not this way. The show also features comic songs — brand-new and satisfyingly old — as well as tributes to some of the giants of the comedy world and to the brilliant raconteurs from OldJewsTellingJokes.com, the website that inspired the show."

The creative team also includes set and video designer David Gallo, lighting designer Jeff Croiter, costume designer Alejo Vietti and sound designer Richard Fitzgerald/Sound Associates with animation by Steve Channon and musical supervision/arrangements by Adam Wachter.

It is produced by Daniel Okrent and Peter Gethers, and Tom Viertel, Marc Routh, Richard Frankel, and Steven Baruch.

Westside Theatre is located at 407 W. 43rd Street. Tickets are $80 and are available at telecharge.com or by calling (212) 239-6200.
