Guyard-Guillot, 31, who fell during the final scene in which performers engage in an aerial battle while wearing safety harnesses attached to a cable, was a citizen of France and resident of Las Vegas.
As previously reported, performances of KÀ have been canceled until further notice.
According to a press statement from the Clark County Office of Coroner/Medical Examiner, "The manner of her death was accidental. The Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is continuing the investigation into how this accident occurred. The OSHA investigation could take up to six months to complete."
A statement on the company's Facebook page reads, "Our thoughts are with her family and the entire Cirque du Soleil family." The company is currently working with the appropriate authorities and is offering full cooperation.
Guyard-Guillot also taught at a school called Cirquefit, a Las Vegas program for children. Donations are being accepted for "the children's future" and can be made at ForSasoun.com.
