The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) will present The Brontes — from Helen Hayes Award-winning theatre and vaudeville company Dizzy Miss Lizzie's Roadside Revue — beginning July 9 at The Pershing Square Signature Center.

Directed by Rick Hammerly, The Brontes, which features a book by Debra Buonaccorsi and music and lyrics by Buonaccorsi and Steve McWilliams, will play through July 19.

The cast includes Buonaccorsi, Laura Keena, Jordan Klein, McWilliams, Rich Nagel, Matthew Schleigh, Gillian Shelly, Dani Stoller and Jason Wilson.

Here's how The Brontes, which premiered at the Capital Fringe Festival in Washington, D.C., is described: "Dizzy Miss Lizzie's Roadside Revue pays a visit to their favorite 19th century writers, The Brontes, and cook up a Yorkshire pudding of music, dance and theatrical tomfoolery. The Brontes follow celebrated writers Charlotte, Emily, Anne and their brother Branwell as they trade in Victorian repression for rock and roll expression."

Other members of the creative team include Joey Walls (lighting design), Maria Royals (costume design), Greg Stevens (set design) and Dan Martin (sound design).

Performances will be offered July 9 at 7:30 PM, July 10 at 4:30 PM, July 11 at 9:30 PM, July 14 at 5:30 PM and July 16 at 5:30 PM and 9:30 PM.

The Pershing Square Signature Center is located at 480 W. 42 Street. For tickets, call (212) 352-3101 or visit NYMF.org. For more information, visit GetDizzyWithLizzie.com.
