Adam Guettel Introduces New Songs From His New Musicals at 54 Below; We've Got the List

Pasquale scored equally well with that musical's "Say It Somehow" (with Bashor), "Hero and Leander" (from Myths and Hymns), and dueting with the composer on "The Riddle Song" from Floyd Collins. Guettel also delivered breathtaking renditions of Floyd's final song, "How Glory Goes," and "Awaiting You" from Myths and Hymns.

Guettel, whose last finished musical was the 2005 Tony-winning Piazza, has come up against obstacles in the interim. This program at 54 Below suggests — in both the quality of the new songs and Guettel's happily cheerful demeanor — that he is ready to bring us more musicals to savor.
