"Broadway Gets Out the Vote" Event, With Nick Adams, Da'Vine Joy Randolph and Max Von Essen, Held Oct. 14

Tony Award nominee Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Nick Adams, Max von Essen, Kara Lindsay and Nikki Rene Daniels are among the performers participating in the Oct. 14 "Broadway Gets Out the Vote" event.

Broadway for Obama founders Celia Keenan-Bolger (Peter and the Starcatcher) and Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Newsies) created the event that aims to educate and motivate members of the theatre community about the issues at the core of Barack Obama's presidential re-election campaign.

"It's intimidating, but we're up for it," Celia Keenan-Bolger said in a statement. "The only way we're going to win this election is by reaching out to people in swing states and showing our enthusiasm for President Obama."

The 7-10 PM evening, held at 405 West 55th Street, begins with an information session explaining how individuals can get involved in the campaign, followed by phone banking.

A performance by Lauren Molina (Marry Me a Little) and Nick Cearley (Next to Normal) of The Skivvies will also take place.
