Burn the Floor Sneak Peek

WLIW to Premiere Burn the Floor Documentary

By Andrew Gans
15 Sep 2009

WLIW21, the New York metropolitan area public TV station, will present the premiere of "The Story of Burn the Floor" — a documentary about the making of the dance spectacular currently playing Broadway's Longacre Theatre — Sept. 16 at 9 PM ET.

Creator/director/choreographer/world champion dance legend Jason Gilkison and producer Harley Medcalf will be live in the studio during the airing of the documentary.

"The Story of Burn the Floor," according to press notes, "chronicles the Latin and Ballroom dance spectacular from its inception through to its newest production on Broadway. Historical performance footage, highlights from the live show, and on-the-road and backstage interviews illustrate the passion and excitement of Burn the Floor's incredible 10-year journey."

Expect interviews with Medcalf and Gilkison as well as world champion dance legend/executive producer/company manager Peta Roby, and past and current members cast members.

Visit wliw.org for additional information and an exclusive ticket package.
