Aaron Tveit, who was recently part of the cast of the Seattle world premiere of Catch Me If You Can, will return to the Broadway cast of Next to Normal in September.

Tveit will resume performances as Gabe Sept. 7 at 8 PM. Kyle Dean Massey, who has been playing the role during Tveit's leave of absence, will offer his final performance Sept. 6.

Tveit received the 2009 Clarence Derwent and Helen Hayes awards for his performance in Next to Normal. His other Broadway credits include Wicked (Fiyero) and Hairspray (Link). He will be seen in the upcoming film "Howl" opposite James Franco.

The cast also features Tony Award winner Alice Ripley, J. Robert Spencer, Jennifer Damiano, Adam Chanler-Berat and Louis Hobson. Michael Greif directed.

Next to Normal, which won Tonys for Best Orchestrations, Best Score and Best Leading Actress in a Musical, plays the Booth Theatre. The original cast recording is available on the Ghostlight Records label.

Next to Normal was penned by Tony winners Tom Kitt (music) and Brian Yorkey (book and lyrics) and is described as "a contemporary musical that explores how one suburban household copes with crisis. . . . [The musical] shows how far two parents will go to keep themselves sane and their family's world intact."

The Broadway production features set design by Mark Wendland, costume design by Jeff Mahshie, lighting design by Kevin Adams and sound design by Brian Ronan. The creative team also includes Sergiio Trujillo (musical staging), Charlie Alterman (musical direction), Michael Starobin and Tom Kitt (orchestrations) and AnnMarie Milazzo (vocal arrangements).

Broadway producers are David Stone, James L. Nederlander, Barbara Whitman, Patrick Catullo and Second Stage Theatre.

Show times are Tuesday at 7 PM, Wednesday-Saturday at 8 PM, Saturday at 2 PM and Sunday at 3 and 7:30 PM.

The Booth Theatre is located at 222 West 45th Street. Tickets are also available by calling (212) 239-6200 or by visiting www.telecharge.com.
