Nilo Cruz's Bicycle Country Plays NYC's Lion Theatre Beginning July 3

The New York City premiere of Nilo Cruz's A Bicycle Country plays a limited engagement at Off-Broadway's The Lion Theatre beginning July 3.

Directed by Gil Ron, the production will officially open July 8 and play through July 25. Ricardo Riethmuller produces.

The cast comprises Luca Pierucci, Lorraine Rodriguez and Francisco Solorzano.

In A Bicycle Country, press notes state, "three Cubans, disillusioned with a crumbling revolution, are driven to risk all on a raft rocked by waves of hope and desperation."

The creative team also includes set designer Michael Mallard, lighting designer Scott Hali, sound designer James Garver and stage manager Joanna L. Jacobsen.

Nilo Cruz is the author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Anna in the Tropics.

Show times are Wednesday-Friday at 8 PM and Saturday at 2 and 8 PM.
