Steven Pasquale Will Sign New CD, "Somethin' Like Love," in NYC May 28

By Kenneth Jones
28 May 2009

Broadway's Steven Pasquale, of Reasons to be Pretty and TV's "Rescue Me," will sign copies of his new jazz-kissed PS Classics CD "Somethin' Like Love" at 6 PM May 28 at J&R Music World at 23 Park Row in Manhattan.

Pasquale is best known for his work as fireman Sean Garrity on FX's critically acclaimed series "Rescue Me" and is currently starring as a cocky, sexist bully on Broadway in the Neil LaBute play, Reasons to be Pretty. The new vocal album was released on April 21.

""It's always been a dream of mine to make an old-fashioned jazz record," the actor said in a statement. "When we went on hiatus due to the writer's strike, I was afforded the time to finally sit down and do what I had always talked about doing."

The new CD, produced by John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey, features Larry Fuller and Tony Monte on piano, Martin Pizzarelli on bass, Tony Tedesco on drums, Marcus Parsley on muted trumpet and John Pizzarelli on guitar.

Pasquale is a Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award nominee for Lincoln Center's A Man of No Importance. He has starred in LaBute's Fat Pig (MCC), Beautiful Child (Vineyard Theatre), A Soldier's Story (Second Stage), Spinning into Butter (Lincoln Center) and The Spitfire Grill (Playwrights Horizons).

TV and film roles include HBO's "Six Feet Under," Sofia Coppola's "Platinum," and Fox's "AVP: Requiem." Pasquale was seen in the Roundabout Theatre's concert of A Little Night Music.
