Tony Award winner Paulo Szot returns to the role of lovelorn French plantation owner Emile de Becque in the Lincoln Center Theater revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific April 14.

Szot had been on leave from the Tony-winning revival since March 12 to appear in Carmen for Opera Toulouse. During his absence, the role of Emile de Becque was portrayed by David Pittsinger, who filled-in for Szot during a previous opera engagement earlier in the season.

The April 14 performance of South Pacific marks the first time Szot will perform onstage opposite the musical's new leading lady, Laura Osnes (Grease, Pride and Prejudice). Osnes began performances as Ensign Nellie Forbush March 10 while Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara is on maternity leave from the production.

Tony winner Bartlett Sher directed the Tony-winning South Pacific revival, which also features Danny Burstein as Luther Billis, Loretta Ables Sayre as Bloody Mary, Andrew Samonsky as Lt. Joe Cable, as well as Eric Anderson, Matt Caplan, Sean Cullen, Murphy Guyer, Luka Kain, Li Jun Li, Laurissa Romain, Michael Arnold, Marla Mindelle, Wendy Bergamini, Genson Blimline, Charlie Brady, Christian Carter, Eric L. Christian, Helmar Augustus Cooper, Margot de la Barre, Christian Delcroix, Laura Marie Duncan, Mike Evariste, Julie Foldesi, Rob Gallagher, Maryann Hu, Craig Bennett, George Merrick, Robert Lenzi, Deborah Lew, William Michals, Kimber Monroe, George Psomas, Greg Roderick and Jerold E. Solomon.

South Pacific boasts a 30-piece orchestra conducted by Fred Lassen and an expansive set by Tony Award-winning designer Michael Yeargan that is replete with palm trees, endless beaches and a 1940s bomber plane.

Tickets for the Lincoln Center Theater revival of South Pacific are available at the Vivian Beaumont box office (150 West 65th Street), at Telecharge.com or by visiting www.lct.org.
